Job description

Position Summary:
  • Provides quality clinical nutrition services by working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary health team to promote wellness, maintain current health, and/or intervene in acute or chronic illness. Provides medical nutrition therapy for all patients in accordance with providers orders, as well as hospital, and Clinical Nutrition Department policies.
  • Performs assessments on all patients identified to be at nutrition risk per established policies and procedures.
  • Provides nutrition education as identified.
  • Provide support to the Food and Clinical Nutrition Department Teams.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Basic professional knowledge; equivalent to a Master's degree; working knowledge of theory and practice within a specialized field
  • Experience: Less than one year
  • Education Discipline: Master of Science Degree in Foods and Nutrition or related field. Completion of Dietetic internship. Successful passing of the registration examination for dietitians (RDN).
  • Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN).
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).
