Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist III - 30hrs/week, Days Apply Location: 43 New Scotland Avenue, Albany, NY 12208 Position Type: Part-time Posted: 30+ Days Ago Requisition ID: 62786 Department/Unit: Adult Cardiac Cath Lab Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $71,612.39 - $110,999.20 Hourly Range: $26.36 - $42.18 Job Description Invasive Cardiovascular Technologists are allied health professionals who perform diagnostic examinations at the request or direction of an Interventional Cardiologist during invasive cardiology, noninvasive cardiology, and/or peripheral vascular study procedures.

They collect and record subjective data to establish accurate anatomical and physiological diagnoses for each patient. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Participate actively in all phases of the peri-procedural process. Manipulate procedural instrumentation under the supervision of the Interventional Cardiologist. Manage supplies and equipment necessary during invasive cardiology procedures. Anticipate the needs of the Interventional Cardiologist. Maintain vigilance for sterile field integrity.

Operate independently for basic procedures and with minimal supervision during complex procedures, functioning as a circulator under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Perform emergency on-call duties as required.

Qualifications

Associate's Degree (required) Graduate of an approved Cardiovascular Training Program (required) Graduate from an accredited Allied Health Program (required) 1-3 years experience in the cardiovascular specialty (required) Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, radiation safety, and equipment operation. Ability to prepare for and respond to adverse events and emergencies during procedures.

Certification as a RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (required upon hire) Certification in ABLS - Advanced Burn Life Support (required upon hire) Certification in PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (required upon hire) Certification in ACLS (required upon hire) Thank you for your interest in Albany Medical Center.
