The University of Miami School of Communication has an exciting opportunity for a temporary part time summer worker to work in Coral Gables, FL.

Job Description: Teach debate and public speaking as outlined by the director(s). Lead day-to-day activities and lectures.

Manager: Patrick Waldinger (doesn't currently have a Temp Staff sup org)

Dates: June 8-June 26, 2026

The Summer Worker works only during the summer months; typically May-August. The Summer Worker assists the assigned department(s) in providing general support in order to meet deadlines and overall, the institution's related goals and objectives.
Core Responsibilities

  • Performs assigned tasks and projects.
  • Provides clerical, research, professional or technical support to assigned division.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
  • Meets or exceeds applicable goals and deadlines.
  • Develops relationships with department staff and other parties to carry out job functions.
  • Keeps supervising staff members informed of work progress and any issues encountered.
  • Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
