Job description

We are having a BLAST at Mad Science! We build and fly rockets, demonstrate lasers, explore chemical reactions, help them build egg drops, and more! You will inspire the next generation of scientists through our innovative activities that show kids what science is really all about. As a Mad Science Camp Counselor, you will lead students through an inquiry-based discovery method involving instructor demonstrations, hands-on experiments, and amazing take-home projects that will illustrate how science affects the world around us. Mad Science is the world's leading provider of fun science programs for elementary-aged children.
We are currently looking for energetic individuals to experience a unique working environment and join our growing team to provide the best STEM enrichment camps in Boca Raton and Palm Beach Gardens.
Full-time, seasonal positions are available for candidates who:
  • Have experience working with groups of children aged 6-10
  • Are available to work full time most weeks between June 5 and August 11, 2023
  • Are outgoing and have a fun personality
  • Have your own reliable car

Position Description
As a Mad Science Summer Camp Counselor, you will be responsible for teaching our summer camp curriculum to a group of elementary-aged children each week. Our camps run from 9 am to 4 pm, 8 am to 3 pm or some various hours in between. We have roving camp workshop locations throughout the southern Palm Beach county and Broward area to offer. You will be scheduled to locations based on where you live. We provide all the materials, as well as a paid training on all the content. All you need to do is bring your eagerness to learn, and we give you all the tools you need to deliver an amazing summer for our campers. Training and orientation will be conducted sometime during the last two weeks of May, so you will need availability during those weeks to learn the content.
