Job description

Summary

Patient Access scheduling employees must embody and deliver professionalism, excellent customer service and communication skills along with excellent verbal and written communication when scheduling, registering and when communicating with BCM callers.

Job Duties
  • Meets daily and monthly quotas for scheduling and rescheduling new and established patients following trained guidelines and procedures within EMR "Epic system".
  • Meets daily and monthly quotas for full registration following trained guidelines and procedures with in EMR “Epic system”.
  • Follows trained guidelines and procedures for inputting and verifying insurance of new and returning patients utilizing EMR.
  • Provides excellent customer service interactions utilizing trained College-wide patient experience tools.
  • Follows trained guidelines when utilizing telephony tools.
  • Meets monthly and daily quotas for MyChart.
  • Responsible for all other patient access scheduling and registration workflows.
  • Manages internal rescheduling requests which average over 6,000 a month and manages MyChart requests with an expected turnaround time of two business days.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One year of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of call center patient access experience.
  • Experience in Epic EMR.
  • Prior customer service experience.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Baylor Med internal Patient Access candidates must be able to manage 6 skillsets; External (non-Patient Access) Baylor Med candidates should have at least two years of patient scheduling experience.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment.
