Hairstylist/Cosmetologist
As a Cosmetologist at BYU, you'll be a key part of our client experience, providing a variety of beauty services that include haircuts, color and highlighting techniques, styling, waxing, makeup, and basic manicure/pedicure services. You'll also help our clients maintain healthy hair, skin, and nails by offering product recommendations and education on proper care. Above all, you'll work with a friendly and motivated team to ensure that each client leaves our salon feeling pampered and rejuvenated.
Note: This is a part-time position (28) hours per week.
What you'll do in this position:
  • Perform haircuts, color, highlights, styling, and other hair services to meet clients' needs
  • Provide makeup services and basic manicure/pedicure treatments
  • Apply gel polish and provide waxing services as needed
  • Educate clients on the care of their hair, skin, and nails, and recommend salon products to maintain results
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times
  • Foster positive relationships with clients by delivering excellent customer service
  • Maintain professionalism and cooperation with coworkers and clients
