We provide breakthrough expertise, support services, and technologies to help operations, programs, and systems of record perform better. RSC2 launched the HUBZup Program in 2022 to promote sustainable economic growth and create opportunities in underserved communities. This initiative offers college students and emerging professionals experience in federal contracting and business operations, along with personalized career development support.


We are seeking motivated individuals to join the next cohort as a Business Operations Understudy for our HUBZup Program. This paid, part-time opportunity (10 hours per week) offers structured training to help participants build professional skills. The program is primarily asynchronous, allowing participants to complete their work on their own schedule and at their own pace. Understudies will work closely with senior managers and industry experts while receiving guidance in career planning, resume building, and professional development.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Introduction to the federal government structure and key agencies (DoD, Federal Civilian, etc.)
  • Government contracting fundamentals (acquisition lifecycle, FAR, DFARS)
  • Project & Program Management essentials (Agile, Waterfall, PMBOK® best practices)
  • Business Development & Capture Management (market research, opportunity tracking, proposal basics)
  • Recruiting & Human Resources operations within GovCon
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance
  • Professional skills development (resume building, etc)
  • Complete assigned projects—both group and individual—on time
  • Accurately record 2 hours per day/10 hours per week in timesheets to remain DCAA compliant
  • Monitor RSC2 email for program communications and updates
Requirements:

  • Current college student or early career professional interest in federal contracting, business operations, project management, or other related fields
