We are an acute-care hospital, a regional referral center and the largest medical facility between Savannah, Ga., and Charleston, S.C. Fully accredited by The Joint Commission, Beaufort Memorial boasts a dedicated, high-quality medical staff of nearly 230 board-certified or board-eligible providers. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life in the Lowcountry through improved health, innovative partnerships and superior care. Position Biomedical Technologist-Plant Services Location Beaufort Memorial Hospital Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Shift Days Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt Description Through electronics knowledge and Biomedical Engineering skills, the BMET provides service and electrical safety programs of patient related instrumentation. He/she is also involved on the clinical level for consultations and direct intervention when problems arise in the use of medical instrumentation of a multi-hospital system. Position Requirements Education:
  • Satisfaction of one or more of the following:
    • Two years BMET experience and an Associate Degree in biomedical equipment technology
    • Four years of BMET experience
    • Three years of BMET experience and an Associate Degree in electronics technology
