Job description

Skilled Trade - Industrial Electrian (Full & Part Time Positions)
Nexteer Automotive - Saginaw, Michigan Operations is soliciting candidates for Industrial Electricians positions.
Applicants must have and be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
  • Must be Safety oriented individual - overriding priority
  • Self-starting team-oriented individuals with good technical and people skills
  • Must be willing to coach/mentor fellow employees
  • To qualify you must have one of the following:
    • Journeyman's card
    • Completed a Department of Labor - Certified Program
    • Experience as an Industrial Electrician, preferably 6 years
  • This position could be filled by a Journeyperson in Training, the compensation ranges for a JIT will be determine by certificates/credentials and scoring in interview process will determine your status and pay
    • Minimum 4 years relative experience
    • May required participation for additional classroom training
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems to make repairs on industrial automotive equipment
  • Experience working with 480-volt power distribution and 480-volt motor controls
  • Experience and understanding of AC & DC theory and basic electronics
  • Ability to read and understand:
    • Industrial hard wire prints
    • PLC ladder logic prints
  • Experience working with:
    • Allen Bradley PLC 2, 5's and SL500's
    • Modicon 984's and Quantum programmable controllers
  • Experience with software that interfaces with Allen Bradley and Modicon controllers
    • e.g. Proworks NXT , RS logics, Modsoft software
  • Experience and training working with:
    • GE Fanuc CNC controls and Fanuc digital servo systems that use encoders, resolvers and linear scales used as feedback position devices
    • Fanuc and ABB robots A plus

Experience in the following areas preferred but not a requirement:
  • Experience working with HVAC systems and have state certification to handle refrigerants
  • Experience working with furnace controls and parameters (pyrometer type tasks)
