Position Summary
ANSER is seeking a Cloud Engineer to support cloud infrastructure, interoperability, and cybersecurity operations for government biometric systems and enterprise cloud environments. In this role, you will provide cloud application operations, maintenance, and enhancement support while enabling secure data sharing between DoD and interagency biometric systems. You will support cloud architecture development, cybersecurity compliance, RMF activities, vulnerability management, and Cloud Security Service Provider (CSSP) integration efforts. You will also assist with cloud-based biometric system integration, user training, and implementation of secure, scalable cloud solutions supporting mission-critical operations.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Provide infrastructure and cloud engineering support to enable interoperability between government biometric systems and cloud environments.
  • Support cloud application operations, maintenance, upgrades, and continual enhancement activities.
  • Implement, monitor, and audit security controls to ensure compliance with government cybersecurity standards and RMF requirements.
  • Assist with obtaining and supporting Cloud Security Service Provider (CSSP) capabilities for cloud environments.
  • Generate RMF documentation and cybersecurity artifacts to support system authorization and compliance activities.
  • Perform vulnerability scans, IAVM monitoring, and remediation activities across cloud environments.
  • Support development of cloud architectures integrating biometric systems including BAT-A, NRTIO, and NXGBCC.
  • Define end-to-end cloud architecture and system boundary documentation required for Army CIO RMF approvals.
  • Assist with vulnerability testing, compliance validation, and cybersecurity assessments for BPS cloud architecture environments.
  • Provide user training and operational support for cloud-hosted applications and systems.

Required Qualifications
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline, will consider additional two (2) years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or cloud security role.
  • Professional-level certification such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, CISSP, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure cloud environments, with preference for AWS GovCloud or Azure Government experience.
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking principles, including VPCs, subnets, routing, VPNs, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
  • Experience supporting RMF compliance activities, vulnerability scanning, and cybersecurity monitoring in cloud environments.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining cloud security controls in compliance with government or DoD standards.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and processes related to IAVM monitoring, vulnerability management, and continuous monitoring.
  • Experience supporting cloud architecture design, systems integration, and operational sustainment activities.
  • Strong written, verbal, technical documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with biometric modalities including fingerprint, facial, iris, and voice recognition technologies.
  • Knowledge of biometric standards and data exchange requirements such as EBTS.
  • Familiarity with DoDAF architecture elements and development of operational and system views.
  • Experience supporting Army or DoD biometric systems and cloud modernization initiatives.
  • Experience in integrating cloud-hosted systems with enterprise identity, security, or mission systems.
  • Experience supporting secure hybrid cloud environments within federal or defense organizations.

Full-Time Salary Range for this position:
