SUMMARY
The Cage Cashier is responsible for providing accurate and efficient cash handling services to casino guests, including exchanging chips, redeeming vouchers, and processing cash transactions. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle financial transactions securely in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain security and accountability over all funds.
  • Follow all casino security and compliance procedures, including identification verification, fraud prevention, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Process credit, debit, and check transactions accurately and in compliance with company policies.
  • Verify large transactions and ensure all required approvals and documentation are obtained.
  • Maintain accurate records of all cash, chips, and vouchers received or disbursed.
  • Count and reconcile daily cash drawers and prepare cash deposits as required.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing guest inquiries, complaints, or discrepancies professionally.
  • Assist with audits and internal reporting as requested.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area.
  • Support other cage operations or team members as needed.

  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak English.
  • Proficient in basic mathematical operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, including discounts, interest, and commission; apply to practical situations using fractions, percentages, and problem-solving.
  • Previous money handling experience required.
  • Experience using a 10-key calculator.
  • Experience with computers, including AS400 or similar systems.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Physical mobility with reasonable accommodations, including the ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 20 lbs.
