We are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant who will advance the institution's proud tradition of excellence in academics, student life and community service.

Your work: You'll have multiple office functions to execute and tasks to complete during your day. Depending upon the specific role you may work with budgets, payroll, answer phones, type correspondence and communicate with other departments to solve issues.

SUMMARY
Provide principal support in an office by carrying out recurring office procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Use the following software: PeopleSoft, Oracle, Word, Excel.
Operate office equipment, such as computer, copier, fax, typewriter, and calculator.
Respond to special requests and projects, frequently under deadline conditions.
File correspondence, records, and other department documents.
Prepare basic reports, such as budget, payroll and enrollment reports, as directed by supervisor.
Send, receive, and distribute faxes.
Answer and screen phone calls, handling multiple lines.
Type correspondences, grant applications and other documents from notes, copies, or rough drafts.
Answer routine correspondence not requiring supervisor's attention.
Communicate with other departments to solve problems.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above. The qualifications listed below are representative of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
Two (2) years secretarial experience required; three (3) years preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications
Good written and oral communication skills
Good organizational skills
