School-Based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

Position: Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time | School-Year Contract
Locations: Portland, ME or Travel

We partner with school districts to place dedicated SLPAs in supportive educational environments. Whether you're an experienced professional or a new graduate, we provide the guidance and resources you need to succeed throughout the school year.

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).

  • Implement individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language disorders.

  • Document student progress, maintain service logs, and complete required documentation in a timely manner.

  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families to support student success.

  • Prepare therapy materials and assist with classroom-based communication strategies.

  • Participate in IEP meetings as appropriate and support the implementation of student goals.

  • Maintain compliance with school district, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited SLPA program.

  • Current SLPA license or registration in the state of practice.

  • Ability to work independently while receiving supervision from a licensed SLP.
