Job description

Cobblestone Creek Country Club, located in Victor, NY, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Staff Accountant! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
The Staff Accountant supports daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial recordkeeping and compliance with company policies. This role typically focuses on transactional tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations, while assisting with reporting.
Pay Range: $25.00 - $33.00 per hour, Part-time role.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Process member billing, including dues, dining charges, events, and other club services
  • Manage accounts receivable, including collections and resolving member account discrepancies
  • Handle accounts payable, including vendor invoices, approvals, and payments
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and point-of-sale (POS) systems
  • Maintain accurate member accounts and ensure timely and correct postings
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
  • Prepares daily, weekly, monthly, annual reports such as: Batch Reports, Cash Reports.
  • Reviews and processes invoices including updating the general ledger.
  • Reviews and processes expense reports.
  • Maintains record keeping, filing systems and processes daily mail.
  • Assists in the reconciliation of accounts payable, vendor statements, loans and various general ledger accounts as needed.
  • Assists with month end close, review and print reports.
  • Prepares accounts receivable statements.
  • Assists in performing daily revenue audits for revenue generating departments.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications:
  • 3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Familiarity with member-based billing systems and POS integrations
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle confidential financial and member information
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of GAAP principles
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Experience with club management or hospitality software (e.g., Jonas Club Software)

Physical Demands:
Frequently sits, uses hands, reaches with arms and hands, talks or hears. Occasionally stands, walks, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches. Occasionally lifts up to 25 pounds.
