Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to lead our corporate tax compliance and tax functions. This role oversees consultants in the preparation, review, and management of corporate income tax filings, provision calculations, and related reporting. The role will also manage all nonpayroll tax matters, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirements while partnering closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors.


  • Lead the preparation and timely filing of federal, state, and local corporate income tax returns.
  • Oversee annual ASC 740 income tax provisions, including deferred tax analysis and supporting documentation.
  • Manage nonpayroll tax compliance, including franchise taxes, sales taxes, business personal property taxes, gross receipts taxes, excise taxes, and other regulatory filings.
  • Coordinate with external auditors on taxrelated matters and support financial audits as needed.
  • Monitor tax law changes and assess impacts to the company.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and ensure tax processes comply with corporate policies and regulatory standards.
  • Provide technical tax guidance to internal teams and support tax planning initiatives.
  • Review tax account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of general ledger activity related to tax.
  • Respond to federal, state, and local tax notices and manage tax examinations.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including Accounting, Finance, and Legal, to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA license strongly preferred.
  • 6+ years of corporate tax experience, public accounting experience a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate income tax, ASC 740, and multistate tax requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex tax compliance workflows and deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problemsolving capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Proficiency with tax compliance and provision software and advanced Excel skills.
