SUMMARY:
Under direct supervision of The Aquatics Coordinator, Swim Instructors are responsible for facilitating swim lessons for a variety of ages and abilities according to the specific guidelines and programs set forth by the Aquatics Leadership Team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
  • Responsible for the leadership, planning, preparation, supervision, and instruction of assigned classes.
  • Responsible for taking attendance, filling out report cards, and other documents that may be required.
  • Responsible for the safety of all participants, ensuring the participants are not left unattended.
  • Attends staff trainings and meetings regularly as required.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Complies with District and departmental rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Current lifeguard certification from StarGuard ELITE, American Red Cross, or Elias and Associates or the ability to become certified within 30 days of hire.
  • 15 years of age

Preferred Qualifications:
  • WSI Certification
