Job description

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Position:                     Paraprofessional David L. Rainer Elementary

Date:                           July 28, 2026

Closing Date:             Until Filled

Effective:                    Immediately

Salary:                        Based on the 2026-27 Approved Camden County Board of Education Salary Schedule 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Hold an associate's degree or higher in any subject from a GaPSC-accepted accredited institution. OR Have completed two 2 years of college coursework (sixty [60] semester hours) above the remedial level with a grade of "C" or better at a GaPSC-accepted accredited institution. OR Have passed the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment and hold a minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Assist teacher with classroom activities; prepare class displays, bulletin boards, and other instructional materials.  Assumes other responsibilities as the teacher may assign
  • Participate in in-service school programs
  • Maintains strict confidentiality and professionalism regarding student and school system affairs
