Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to support students in a classroom environment walking students between their classrooms in order to support the virtual Speech Language Pathologist. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students, particularly those with autism and developmental disabilities. This role is essential in fostering an inclusive learning atmosphere and ensuring that all students receive the educational support they need to thrive.
Duties

  • Assist virtual SLP's in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities tailored to individual student needs.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, during speech therapy sessions.
  • Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment through effective classroom management techniques
  • Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and parents regarding student performance and needs.
Requirements

  • Experience working in a classroom setting, preferably with students who have autism or other developmental disabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively during virtual speech therapy sessions.
