Position Overview:
The Paralegal assists counsel with many case management duties and other office related tasks.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Draft memos, pleadings, correspondence, subpoenas, discovery, and various legal documents.
  • Analyze and redline contract terms and add any special provisions, terms, and conditions to the contract.
  • Perform administrative duties such as managing calendars, organizing case files, managing logistics, processing mail, taking notes, etc.
  • Conduct legal research and analyze law sources to prepare documents for use by attorney.
  • Perform deposition responsibilities, including but not limited to, preparing notice of deposition, determining availability, and making arrangements.
  • Review, revise and approve legal documents.
  • Coordinate requests between multiple parties involved in litigation by way of consistent communication.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Associate degree in Paralegal studies, preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, or equivalent experience.
  • Notary public certification preferred.
  • Experience in Legal, Financial Services, Real Estate, and/or Mortgage industries preferred.
  • Experience with Legal software.
  • Excellent deposition techniques.
  • Excellent note taking skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PPT.
