Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to support financial services and our bail bonds operations. The ideal candidate will be proficient in handling court documents, including filing complaints, summons, and civil case cover sheets, have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, and must be bilingual in Spanish to effectively communicate with a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, file, and manage legal documents such as:
    • Complaints
    • Summons
    • Civil Case Cover Sheets
    • Proofs of Service
    • Subpoenas
  • Prepare and maintain case files and legal records.
  • Track and follow up on active and pending cases.
  • Monitor court calendars and deadlines.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports related to bail forfeitures, judgments, and bond reconciliations using Excel.
  • Communicate professionally with court personnel, attorneys, and clients.
  • Conduct legal research and summarize findings for attorney or company use.
  • Ensure compliance with court rules and filing procedures, especially related to civil litigation and bail bond processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of paralegal experience in civil litigation or financial services; bail bond industry experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court filing procedures, and California civil court systems.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, data entry, filtering, pivot tables preferred).
