Pay: $150,000.00 - $220,000.00 per year

Job Description

  • Handle sophisticated business and commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.
  • Develop litigation strategy and advise clients on risk assessment and dispute resolution.
  • Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
  • Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues under California law.
  • Manage all phases of discovery, including depositions, written discovery, and document review.
  • Prepare clients and witnesses for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial.
  • Negotiate settlements while protecting client interests and business objectives.
  • Appear before California Superior Courts for hearings and other proceedings.
  • Collaborate with firm leadership to develop litigation strategy and improve client outcomes.
  • Manage deadlines while independently handling an active litigation caseload.

Qualifications

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Active California Bar license in good standing.
  • 5+ years of business or commercial litigation experience.
  • Strong courtroom, motion practice, and deposition experience.
  • Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills.
  • Experience managing litigation files independently.
  • Strong negotiation and client counseling abilities.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
