Qualifications

Paralegal/Legal Assistant needs 3-5 years of experience as a paralegal supporting transactional work

 wants to see more that has actual contract experience with experience in telecom/media

Paralegal/Legal Assistant requires:

  • Requires excellent file management and organizational skills
  • Requires strong written and oral communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Strong preference for candidates with knowledge of cable and entertainment industry
  • Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Paralegal certificate
  • Bachelors degree with strong academic performance required


Paralegal/Legal Assistant does:


  • Providing
    day-to-day legal support for the content legal team in connection with
    cable affiliation, retransmission consent, and original content
    negotiations and drafting
  •  Assisting with drafting of
    agreements, such as cable affiliation agreements, new media agreements,
    digital content licensing agreements, local sporting event agreements,
    letter agreements, etc.
  • Researching and summarizing provisions in content licensing agreements;
  • Maintaining physical contract files and electronic database
