Job description

The Ford Agency is actively seeking a Senior Paralegal to join a DC based mid-size energy law firm. The Paralegal will submit files to US Courts and federal agencies, cite check and proofread files, and support the attorneys. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to take on a substantive paralegal role in a collegial environment that promotes collaboration and team work.

Responsibilities Include:
• Communicate and work closely with attorneys
• Conduct regulatory and legal research
• Cite check and proofread files
• Submit files to U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeals and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)
• Mentor and train junior paralegals
Qualifications Include:
• Bachelor's degree
• Paralegal certificate required
• 5+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm
• Cite-checking experience required
• Experience with FERC and US Court of Appeals preferred
• Excellent editing and proofreading skills
• Microsoft Office Suite, eDiscovery software a plus

Compensation:
• $80,000 - $110,000

Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area or have independent plans for relocation.
