Job Description:
The Mega 5 Litigation Support Team at Leidos currently supporting the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has openings for six
(6) Paralegals to assist with electronic filings for Vaccines cases.
The following tasks are required to support the Vaccines Program:
๏ท Downloads electronic case filings (ECFs) from Pacer
๏ท Uploads the electronic case filings to the automated matters systems
๏ท Enters filing information into a case tracking system
๏ท Creates and provides links to the electronic case filings to the DOJ Attorneys
๏ท Responds to DOJ attorney requests for filing information and retrieval
๏ท Compiles, prepares, and summarizes relevant materials for use by attorneys in discovery and in preparation of
motions, briefs and other legal documents.
๏ท Conducts simple to moderately complex database searches
๏ท Performs simple legal research
๏ท Indexes, tracks and controls document discovery, depositions, and trial.
๏ท Prepares exhibit cross-references.
๏ท Assists attorneys in courtroom.

3. Basic Qualifications:
๏ท Requires paralegal certificate, JD, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one
year of study. One (1) year of legal training or legal experience or at least two (2) years of college education may be
substituted for the paralegal certificate.
๏ท At least one (1) year of litigation paralegal experience or project experience related to electronic case filing
workflows.
๏ท Basic legal knowledge, including knowledge of standard legal citation to cite check legal motions and memorandum.
๏ท Experience with docket and document review, ideally with PACER, specifically.
๏ท Experience with legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
๏ท Excellent written and oral communication skills.
๏ท Supervisory or management experience overseeing docket & document review, ideally with PACER is preferred.Statement of Work

4. Location:
The work is performed in Washington DC.
5. Workdays and Work Hours:
Working hours will be 8 hours a day, between the hours of 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM local time. Work schedule is expected to be
the same as the supported office personnel. If overtime is needed, overtime shall only be performed with the prior approval
