Job Overview
The Seasonal Parade Studio Assistant assists the Parade Studio & Production Management Teams in various aspects of production for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, as well as providing project management and general office support.
What You Will Do
  • Support the Project Management process on cross-functional projects
  • Schedule meetings, trainings, deliveries, and ticket distributions
  • Assist with shipping and dropping off deliveries and supplies
  • Prepare and update RSVP lists, sign-in sheets, and security lists
  • Perform general office duties including answering phones, taking reservations, conducting research, data entry, and ordering supplies
  • Provide event assistance and customer service
  • Aid in other aspects of operations, including load-in/load-out activities, and event setup/strike for various Macy's holiday events, trainings, and attractions
  • Possess a valid driver's license and the ability to operate a larger passenger van
  • Assist with purchase cards reconciliation and organization
  • Assist with catering ordering, setup, and cleanup
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities

Skills You Will Need
Administrative & Clerical Experience: Prior experience in administrative and clerical tasks is preferred
Data Entry: Ability to perform accurate and efficient data entry tasks
Phone Etiquette: Excellent phone skills are essential for effective communication
Customer Service: Experience in providing excellent customer service is beneficial
Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Multitasking: Capacity to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, including prioritization and flexibility, are essential for managing various tasks effectively
Theatrical/Event Production Background: Knowledge or experience in theatrical/event production, stage management, or company management is advantageous
Interpersonal Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for interacting with team members and external parties
Professionalism: Present a professional image consistent with Macy's brand values
Computer Proficiency: Basic computer skills are required, with experience in Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher preferred
Who You Are
  • Candidates with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on department and company needs

Essential Physical Requirements You Will Perform
  • This position requires lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
