Join Oliver—an organization with centuries of know-how, multi-site production, and a commitment to sustainable, state-of-the-art technology. As our Sheeter Equipment Specialist, you’ll transform rolls into press-ready sheets that power premium packaging and marketing materials.

Your mission

Own the roll-to-sheet process from planning through final skid while championing safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Core responsibilities
  • Operate roll sheeters to deliver exact sheet size, squareness, and finish quality to spec.
  • Plan and prioritize work from the daily schedule; consolidate runs to increase efficiency.
  • Inspect rolls for defects and prepare them for production.
  • Set and adjust slitters, anvils, belts, and joggers; audit quality throughout the run.
  • Leverage existing sheeted inventory where practical.
  • Monitor raw materials; communicate low inventory to Purchasing.
  • Perform routine maintenance and change blades/slitters to maintain uptime.
  • Capture accurate data in manufacturing/ERP systems; print and apply labels; maintain inventory integrity.
  • Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, stretch wrappers, banding equipment, and scanners safely.
  • Coach teammates as needed and contribute to a safe, orderly workspace.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years as a Sheeter Operator in commercial print, paper converting, or manufacturing.
  • Deep familiarity with paper grades, sheeting processes, and production workflows.
  • Industrial sheeter operation experience, plus forklift and clamp truck operation.
  • Basic computer proficiency; ERP/manufacturing software experience (Solar Soft preferred).
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving strength.
  • Ability to read and apply production orders, work instructions, safety procedures, and manuals.
  • Math competency with fractions, decimals, percentages, and measurements.
  • Detail orientation and a collaborative mindset.
Physical requirements
  • Standing/walking about 75% of the shift.
  • Frequently lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Safe operation of powered industrial trucks and equipment.
  • Comfort near moving machinery in a production setting.
