  • Assist with lifting and moving finished buggies, and perform housekeeping and safety duties in the work area.


Job description

Position Summary: Primary responsibility is to transport rolls of fabric from knitting floors to inspection area or to buggy staging area.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Get rolls from knitting floor and transport them to the inspection area.
  • Insert zero lift rod into roll to get weight.
  • Write correct information on inspected fabric roll and knit production ticket.
  • Place fabric in plastic bags along with production ticket, and place on correct shipping buggy.
  • Assist other Rollpersons to lift sample rolls onto finished buggies when above waist high and over 65 lbs.
  • Make copies of white knitting ticket for waste and mark red waste ticket to be given to Knitter.
  • Get supplies for inspection as needed.
  • Move completed buggies as needed.
  • Help keep inspection area clean and neat.
  • Occasionally performs housekeeping duties throughout the plant, on a rotation basis, with the other Rollpersons on the shift.
  • Charge forklifts as needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures/policies and advise management of any unsafe conditions.
  • Keep work area neat and clean.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Role Qualifications/Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Forklift, hoist, pallet jack certification.
  • Related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong team player.
  • Commitment to company values.
