Job Summary:
Pantex Plant is seeking a Cyber Senior Solutions Architect who will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of their enterprise security posture. The successful candidate will ensure robust cybersecurity controls are integrated into all designs for applications and IT systems, driving initiatives such as Zero Trust transformation and security framework implementation.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Developing and articulating a clear, forward-looking cybersecurity vision that balances comprehensive security requirements with critical business functionality and productivity goals.
โ€ข Serving as one of the primary security authorities within our Enterprise Architecture review process, ensuring all new and existing system designs rigorously adhere to established cybersecurity standards and architectural principles.
โ€ข You will be instrumental in driving our Zero Trust transformation journey as a key solutions architect for cybersecurity.
โ€ข Leading the architectural interpretation and implementation of other security best practices review process, ensuring alignment with leading security frameworks.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience. Typical engineering/science/information technology experience ranging from 6 to 10 years.
โ€ข OR Master's degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
โ€ข OR Applicants without a bachelor's degree may be considered based on a combination of at least 12 years of completed education and/or relevant experience.
โ€ข Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status.
โ€ข The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
โ€ข Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required, candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph, pursuant to 10 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 709.
โ€ข Medical requirements may apply.
โ€ข Pantex is a drug-free workplace. Candidates accepting a job offer will be required to pass a pre-placement physical, drug screening and background investigation.
โ€ข As an employee, you may be required to receive and maintain a security clearance from the United States Department of Energy in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to sensitive information or matter.
โ€ข U.S. citizenship is a requirement for security clearance applicants.
Preferred:
โ€ข Eight or more years of progressive experience in cybersecurity architecture, solutions architecture, or a related field, with a demonstrated focus on strategic security planning and implementation.
โ€ข Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles and controls within complex enterprise environments.
โ€ข Masterโ€™s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related discipline.
โ€ข Relevant industry cybersecurity certifications (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)-Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (ISSAP), Sherwood Applied Business Security Architecture (SABSA), The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) with security specialization, Zero Trust certifications).
โ€ข Demonstrated experience in implementing and operationalizing security frameworks such as U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), NIST Special Publications (SP) 800-207 (Zero Trust Architecture), or similar leading standards.
