Responsibilities
Associates to perform all safety checks at the start of their shift on all cranes and tools and document this as necessary. Continue to perform safety checks throughout the shift.
  • Follows work instructions to operate equipment and adjusts machines in accordance with all operating procedures and SES's.
  • Select specific raw materials to produce pressure vessels and ensure that materials meet job requirements.
  • Load and unload materials into machines and adjusts machine for specific jobs including choosing correct jigs, saws, and machines.
  • Maintain safe working practices for machine operating applications.
  • Properly complete all paperwork associated with machine operating activities and input data into the computer.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job routings.
  • Be able to follow all material identification practices, as required.
  • Troubleshoot machine problems by listening for any unfamiliar noise and report this though appropriate channels.
  • Preforms housekeeping and other related duties as may be assigned.
  • Material handling - operation of cranes, hoist, and forklifts when necessary. Also successfully complete any training/safety program relating to the operation of the equipment.

Education and Certifications
  • Must have either a High School diploma, GED, or at least 1 year working experience in an industrial based environment.

Qualifications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet team expectations.
  • Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to understand and abide by all safety rules and regulations to perform the job.
  • Must have a basic understanding of computers.
  • Must have reading, writing and simple math skills.
  • Must be able to read blueprints.
