Carpenter Wall Panel Installer
WORKSITES: 70-MILE RADIUS OF QUAKERTOWN (Tri-State Area, PA)

General Summary of Position
The Carpenter Panel Installer exists to install a variety of Light Gauge Metal Wall Panelsincluding load bearing light gauge metal wall panels, curtainwall light gaugemetal wall panels; structural steel and other products offered as add-ons toKlover Wall Panel Systems. This position must be familiar with the tools of thetrade and can read, follow, and understand blueprints, drawings, and workorders.
Essential (Core Competencies) Duties
  • Accurately measure and read height, width,length, and other proportions with a tape measure
  • Assist foreman with proper layout for work tobe put in place
  • Fabricate or alter parts using grinders,sawzalls, shears, hammers, punches, or drills
  • Join materials with PAFs, nails, screws,staples, or adhesives
  • Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares,and lasers to ensure everything is level and secure
  • Check work along the way to ensure it meetsspecification and quality standards
  • Install/use rigging and hoisting equipment
  • Install wall panel products according tospecifications and building codes
  • Maneuver units into position for installation,and anchor the units
  • Work at heights with several elevated platforms
  • Keep work area clean and productive
  • Always exercise the proper use of PPE
  • Set up and safely use company equipment
  • Maintain welding certification throughmaintenance logs and supervisor observation

Qualifications
PreferredEducation and Experience:
  • Participation in a secondary or post-secondarytrade curriculum
  • 1+ year experience with panel or structuralsteel installation
  • 1+ year experience with stick welding(optional)
  • Knowledge and understanding of constructionsafety devices and PPE
  • Rigging and Signaling experience is aplus
  • Carpentry knowledge

Work Environment
Panelinstallers work indoors and outdoors on many types of construction projects,with varying degrees of exposure to the elements. This may include extreme heat(>85 degrees for longer than one hour of exposure), extreme cold (<32degrees for longer than one hour of exposure), excessive humidity and noise.Some hazards may be present such as proximity to moving mechanical parts,electrical current, toxic/caustic chemicals, and slippery/uneven walkingsurfaces.

  • Due to the physical nature of the position,employee must have full dexterity of their hands and arms.
  • Employee must be able to see objects close andfar away
  • At times, multiple sounds can be heard asemployee is working on job, employee must have the ability to focus on thesound in particular that is associated with the task they are completing. Employees with any sort of hearing impairmentwould not be considered fit for duty to perform this position.
  • Due to the safety sensitive nature of theposition, at all times, employee must be fit for duty and not report to workunder the influence of a mind altering or performance altering substance. At no time, should employee be found to bepossessing or using a mind or performance altering substance while performingany Company task.
