Position Description
The Metal Panel Installer is responsible for the installation of architectural metal wall panel systems in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards. This role performs layout, sub-framing, panel installation, and waterproofing while coordinating closely with the foreman and other trades to ensure quality, accuracy, and proper sequencing. Successful candidates have hands-on experience with metal or ACM panel systems, are comfortable working at heights and outdoors, follow jobsite safety requirements, and demonstrate strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork in a fast-paced construction environment.
El Instalador de Paneles Metálicos es responsable de la instalación de sistemas arquitectónicos de paneles metálicos para muros, de acuerdo con los planos aprobados, las especificaciones y los estándares de seguridad. Position Requirements
Experience & Skills
  • 2-5+ years of experience installing metal wall panels, ACM panels, or architectural cladding systems
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and layout plans
  • Experience with:
    • Layout and alignment of panel systems
    • Installing sub-framing, girts, and clips
    • Waterproofing systems (flashing, sealants, weather barriers)
  • Familiarity with tools such as drills, lasers, levels, shears, and lifts
  • Understanding of tolerances, reveals, and panel spacing

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. regularly
  • Comfortable working at heights (ladders, scaffolding, boom/scissor lifts)
  • Capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail

Certifications & Safety
  • OSHA 10 (required to begin work)
  • OSHA 30 preferred
  • Fall protection training preferred
  • Aerial lift certification (scissor/boom lift) preferred
  • Knowledge of jobsite safety standards and PPE compliance

Work Responsibilities
  • Install metal panels according to approved drawings and specs
  • Verify layout, elevations, and alignment before installation
  • Coordinate with foreman and other trades on sequencing
  • Ensure proper sealing and waterproofing of joints and penetrations
  • Identify and report damaged materials or installation issues
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas
