Field Installer

Role Summary

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the Field Installer is responsible for the efficient and safe assembly of the building erection activities within our yard and off-site locations. If you like working outdoors and have previous experience labour experience, we want to hear from yo

Key Responsibilities

  • Reads and understands blueprints
  • Operates forklift and all terrain lift on a daily basis to maneuver materials for assembly
  • Responsible for safe rigging of loads
  • Installation of cladding, panels, and components
  • Participates in the construction process of the units
  • Operates tools necessary for construction
  • Ensures the quality of assembly production
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area
  • Knows, understands and follows PTW Code of Conduct and employment policies, rules and regulations
  • Complies with standards and procedures of WSG's health & safety manual and Occupational Health & Safety regulations

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety, scheduling and quality preferred
  • Experience in assembly within a construction environment preferred
  • Construction experience or previous employment in labour extensive positions
  • Experience working with Steel or Sheet Metal products
  • Working at jobs where the job requirements were at least 90% working outdoors
  • Forklift, all terrain, rigging, overhead crane, first aid, aerial platform and fall arrest tickets would be an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle tight deadlines
  • Ability to work on structures 20 to 30 feet off of the ground
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and confident manner
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks quickly
  • Understand and follow oral and written directions
  • Enthusiasm for challenge and new initiatives are prerequisites
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others
Additional Requirements
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
  • Exposure to outside elements
  • Must be willing to travel within Calgary and Western Canada to site locations
  • Must have own transportation as location is not accessible with public transportation
  • Must have CSA approved safety boots
