What skills and qualifications are needed to be a panel builder?

To thrive as a Panel Builder, you need strong electrical wiring knowledge, the ability to read and interpret technical schematics, and experience with hand and power tools, often backed by a relevant technical diploma or apprenticeship. Familiarity with industry-standard tools like multimeters, wire strippers, and PLC programming interfaces, as well as adherence to safety codes (such as NEC or IEC standards), is typical.
