Responsibilities
Overview:
The Office of Social Impact & Inclusion (OSII) and the Panasonic Foundation seeks a motivated intern to support its philanthropic initiatives, grantmaking processes, and community engagement activities. This role offers hands-on experience in corporate social responsibility (CSR), nonprofit partnership management, and strategic communications.
What You'll Get to Do:
  • Grant Management: Update grant agreements post-approval, coordinate signatures, and liaise with Finance for disbursement.
  • Panasonic Challenge Grant: Collaborate with CFNJ to launch the Year 3 Challenge Grant, monitor deadlines and deliverables (i.e. timeline of CFNJs grant review, Panasonic's selection and public announcement).
  • Grant Advisory Board Meeting: Assist in planning the first Board Meeting of the fiscal year (May/June) and support member inquiries.
  • Partner Relations: Manage inquiries and maintain relationships with nonprofit partners.
  • Communications & Marketing: Contribute to quarterly nonprofit partner spotlights for social media.
  • Community Engagement: Attend community meetings/events, support Careers in Tech (Q1), and assist with Kid Witness News deadlines and deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Grantmaking & Portfolio Management: Support review and tracking of grant proposals, agreements, and disbursements. Monitor grantee progress and assist with reporting.
  • Partnerships & Community Engagement: Maintain communication with nonprofit partners and represent Panasonic at community events.
  • Governance & Board Support: Assist with Board meeting preparation, materials coordination, and follow-up actions.
  • Internal & External Collaboration: Coordinate with Finance and respond to CSR inquiries.
  • Reporting & Impact Measurement: Compile data for progress reports and assist with storytelling for community impact.
Program Requirement(s):
  • Must be currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree throughout the entirety of the internship.
Qualifications
What You'll Bring:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or Social Sciences.
  • Ideally, prior volunteer or internship experience in nonprofit or CSR preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships.
  • Detail-oriented with an interest in social impact and corporate philanthropy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with social media platforms is a plus.

Hourly Range: $17-$38
The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
