Job description


The painter role requires demonstrated experience in painting, wallpapering, installing drywall and general maintenance. Performs all duties in accordance with company policies.
Responsibilities
  • Daily maintenance of wallpaper, paint, and furniture. Touch-up hotel, casino, back of house, restaurants and throughout facility.
  • Repainting of curbs, traffic stripes and directional signs throughout facility.
  • Maintain all finishes throughout hotel, casino, back of house and restaurants.
  • Repair and repaint exterior structure and doors.
  • Assist in all special projects.
  • Ability to use airless spraying equipment.
  • Ability to mix and match colors.
  • Handling and disposal of all hazardous waste associated with shop.
  • Take a leadership role in reporting and correcting unsafe work practices or unsafe facility conditions.
  • Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental and company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Able to be alert in a high-risk environment; follow detailed procedures and ensure accuracy in documentation and data; carefully monitor gauges, instruments, or processes; concentrate on routine work details and organize and maintain a system of records.
  • Able to maintain high standards despite pressing deadlines; establish high standards and measures; do work right the first time and inspect material for flaws; test new methods thoroughly; reinforce excellence as a fundamental priority.
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of service delivery; do what is necessary to ensure customer satisfaction; deal with service failures and prioritize customer needs.

Qualifications
  • Must have a minimum of four years' experience in all above areas.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Must be able to get along well with co-workers and work as a team.
  • Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be capable of maneuvering for prolonged periods of time, both inside and outside sometimes in temperatures more than 115 degrees or cold temperatures below 10 degrees.
  • Must possess coordination and dexterity to work with power and hand tools such as drills, electric saws, hammers
  • Respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, jump and carry heavy loads.
  • Must be able to lift to 100 pounds.
  • Able to maneuver on level surfaces as well as up and down stairs.
  • Must be able to think clearly and respond calmly in situations.
  • Must be able to learn and retain locations.
