Daily Tasks:

  • Data collection, analysis, and reporting of defects recorded in systems
  • Lead action plan creation and maintenance with cross functional team
  • Adhesion and film build testing compliance
  • Data collection and documentation of Color and Orange Peel
  • Collection and review of daily Prime Shop data reports and reporting of RYG sheet (paint conformance)
  • Review Alpha Assembly data to identify current issues with painted parts
  • Review data from other customers as related to paint defects and stratify and communicate to plant personnel as required.
  • Monitoring of daily Layered Process Audits
  • Daily FTY review and on floor data verification and investigation.
  • Ensure all required testing is completed on time and requirements are met.

Weekly Tasks:

  • Bi-weekly data collection and report out of top 3 defects and trend charts.
  • Bi-Weekly communication with Synergy to understand current DPU rate and top 3 origins of dirt/contamination
  • Collection and review of Certification of Authenticity documentation from paint suppliers
  • Weekly meeting with Senior Mgt. to report out on top defects and actions for improvement
  • Lead dirt defect meetings
  • Inventory review, ordering and stocking of all touch-up paint (Marker and Spray)

Monthly Tasks:

  • Collection and review of monthly Prime Shop documentation and check sheets
  • Collection and review of monthly Topcoat Shop documentation and check sheets
  • Color harmony meetings (Stellantis)

Quarterly Tasks:

  • Performance of adhesion testing after exposure to humidity

Annual Tasks:

  • Record retention activities.
  • Calibration and recertification of all electronic and non-electronic measuring and testing devices

Other Frequent Tasks:

  • Creation and maintenance of documentation related to the Prime and Top Coat Paint Shops (e.g., Flow, PFMEA and Control Plan documentation, Work Instructions, Forms, Visual Aids, Trial Waivers, and Quality Alerts)
  • Assistance in color development concerning PF-7051 sample submissions for corporate adhesion testing
  • Support of Customer Service QE's for corrective actions, updates to documentations, process changes, etc.
  • Calibration monitoring / service maintenance measuring or testing devices used within the Prime and Top Coat Paint Shops

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in quality, mechanical or industrial engineering.
  • Two years quality experience in the automotive manufacturing industry.
  • Excellent communication and strong leadership skills.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office - specifically with Word and Excel.
  • Flexible schedule with ability to work overtime as needed.
