Job Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Powdercoat Technician is responsible for managing the inventory of powder coating materials, adhering to the ERP schedule, ensuring a safe and clean working environment, maintaining powder coating equipment, and ensuring the quality of process standards.
TOP 5 RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage the inventory for powder coating materials
2. Follow and adhere to the ERP schedule
3. Ensure a safe and clean working environment (6S)
4. Make sure to maintain the powder coating equipment properly
5. Ensure the quality of process standards is maintained
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
Develop and maintain a tracking system for powder coating materials to optimize stock levels and minimize waste
Provide feedback on the ERP schedule to improve workflow efficiency and address potential bottlenecks
Ensure proper PPE is worn at all times
Regularly inspect and troubleshoot powder coating equipment to address maintenance needs proactively
Maintain detailed records of coating processes and quality control checks for continuous improvement initiatives
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Prior experience in powder coating or a related manufacturing role is preferred
Basic understanding of powder coating equipment and processes. Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to heat and chemicals
Strong focus on quality assurance to meet process standards
Ability to read and interpret work orders, safety guidelines, and operational instructions.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting
Knowledge of workplace safety practices, including 6S standards
