Remote Paint Manufacturing information

What is remote paint manufacturing?

Remote paint manufacturing refers to the process of producing paints and coatings using automated systems and technology that can be operated or monitored from a distance, often via the internet. This can involve controlling mixing, blending, and quality assurance processes remotely, allowing for increased efficiency and flexibility. Remote operations help reduce the need for on-site staff, improve safety by minimizing exposure to chemicals, and enable experts to oversee multiple facilities from a central location.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in remote paint manufacturing?

To thrive in Remote Paint Manufacturing, you need a solid understanding of chemical processes, quality control, and safety protocols, often supported by a degree in chemistry, engineering, or a related field. Familiarity with manufacturing software (such as ERP systems), remote monitoring technologies, and relevant safety certifications is typically required. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective remote communication are vital soft skills for managing operations from a distance. These abilities are crucial to ensure efficient production, maintain high quality standards, and address issues promptly in a remote work environment.

What are some common challenges faced when working remotely in paint manufacturing, and how can they be addressed?

Working remotely in paint manufacturing often involves coordinating with production teams and quality control staff who are on-site, which can present communication and oversight challenges. To overcome these, remote professionals typically use project management software, frequent video calls, and digital monitoring tools to stay updated on production statuses and ensure standards are met. Building strong relationships with on-site staff and establishing clear communication protocols are also key to maintaining workflow efficiency and product quality.

As Regional Sales Manager at Nightwine, you will lead sales strategy and execution across Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, and Western Pennsylvania, driving significant revenue growth while developing and coaching a team of outside sales representatives. You will leverage deep flow control expertise — valves, actuation systems, process instrumentation, and steam specialties — to help customers in chemical, oil and gas, biofuels, power, and manufacturing solve complex operational challenges. This is a high-visibility, remote-based leadership role with real impact on Nightwine's growth and MCE's Flow Control category.

If you have 7 to 10 years of sales leadership experience in flow control and the drive to build an accountability-based sales culture that consistently delivers results, we want to talk.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary plus MBO bonus eligibility. Benefits include:

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Company-paid life, AD&D, and short- and long-term disability insurance.
  • 401(k) with a generous company match.
  • Generous PTO and paid holidays.
  • Tuition reimbursement — we invest in your development.
  • Paid parental leave.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • Voluntary benefit products.
What You'll Do

Lead and Develop the Sales Team

  • Attract, lead, coach, and mentor a team of outside sales representatives to enhance performance and drive consistent results.
  • Assign incentive quota targets for all sellers and hold the team accountable to monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Assess team sales activities and forecasts to determine progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Build an accountability-based sales culture where performance is visible, recognized, and addressed.

Drive Revenue Growth and Strategy

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share objectives across Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, and Western Pennsylvania.
  • Meet or exceed orders forecasts on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis within the Rubber Tree CRM platform.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to sales processes, strategies, and team capabilities to achieve growth goals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other MCE business units — filtration, rotating equipment, fluid power, and automation — to identify and pursue joint opportunities.

Strengthen Customer Relationships

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders to ensure long-term loyalty and repeat business.
  • Accompany sales representatives on joint customer calls and call directly on key accounts across the territory.
  • Apply consultative selling techniques to solve high-level business challenges for customers in chemical coatings, adhesives, paint manufacturing, oil and gas, biofuels, and power generation.
  • Travel regularly within the region as required to support team and customer engagement.
What We're Looking For

Must Have:

  • 7 to 10 years of sales leadership and management experience within the flow control industry — valves, instrumentation, steam specialties, and process automation.
  • Strong expertise in developing and executing successful sales strategies in a technically complex distribution environment.
  • Deep understanding of consultative selling techniques and solving high-level operational challenges for industrial customers.
  • Experience utilizing CRM software and sales analytics tools to manage pipeline, forecast accurately, and drive team performance.
  • Excellent communication skills — comfortable leading technical conversations and customer presentations at all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical ability to leverage data for strategic decision-making.
  • Proficiency with ERP, CRM, inventory software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

We Value:

  • Ability to build and sustain an accountability-based sales culture.
  • Collaborative mindset with a track record of working effectively across business units and internal partners.
  • Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills with both customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong market awareness and understanding of customer needs in the flow control and process industries.
