Job description

Machine Specialties, LLC (MSI) is a leading contract machining and metal finishing company that designs and manufactures sophisticated, cost-effective solutions to meet our clients' most demanding challenges. Our company is located in Whitsett, NC, just outside of Greensboro, NC.
We are currently seeking a Paint Technician to join our team. This is an hourly position whose main responsibilities are to maintain production according to our production schedule. This position will report to the Paint Department Manager and be responsible for maintaining Machine Specialties Quality Procedures and standards.
Night Shift: Monday - Thursday 5:00pm-5:00am - 15% Shift Premium
Position Specific Expectations
  • Experience and knowledge of Paint tools and techniques.
  • Understanding of Proper Masking techniques & applications.
  • Must be able to spray to Desired/Manufacturer mil tolerances.
  • 2-3 years experience in Painting, preferably working with machined parts/Components.
  • Detail oriented with proven analytical skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot / problem solve.
  • Knowledge of safe work habits.
  • Meet deadlines while working under minimal supervision.
  • Mechanical aptitude must be demonstrated by previous work experience.
  • Ability to work in a standing environment for 8-10 hours per day.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and be comfortable operating a crane for heavier loads.
  • Ability to work 45+ hours per week, with occasional weekend work.

Required Training/Education/Experience

  • Technical Education Certificate in Collison Repair/Paint, preferred.
  • 2-3 years Manufacturing experience, preferably in an Aerospace Manufacturing company.
