Compensation: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Job Summary

The Paint Tech is responsible for preparing, painting, and stenciling containers and equipment to company standards. This position supports Texmore Incorporated’s operational efficiency and cost-saving initiatives by maintaining container quality in-house. The Paint Tech works in an outdoor industrial environment and must prioritize safety, quality workmanship, and equipment care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare containers and surfaces for painting, including grinding, sanding, cleaning, and removing debris.
  • Operate paint sprayers and related equipment safely and effectively.
  • Apply paint and stenciling according to company specifications and branding standards.
  • Ensure proper curing, drying, and finish quality of painted surfaces.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of paint supplies, tools, and equipment.
  • Follow all safety procedures including proper use of PPE and safe handling of materials.
  • Inspect finished work to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Assist with general yard or maintenance duties as assigned.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, material shortages, or safety concerns to supervisor.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: Previous industrial painting or maintenance experience preferred; experience operating paint sprayers is a plus.

Skills:

  • Ability to operate power tools (including grinders).
  • Ability to operate and maintain paint spraying equipment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong focus on quality and consistency.
  • Ability to work safely in an outdoor environment year-round.

Work Environment

Outdoor industrial yard environment with exposure to noise, heavy equipment, dust, and varying weather conditions. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required and provided.
