Swanton Welding Company has an opening for a Paint Booth Technician that is proactive, energetic, and a team player that thrives in a manufacturing environment. The position is based out of the Swanton, Ohio location and the hours are Monday - Friday from 6:30am - 4:00pm.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities:

  • Work with supervisor to understand and achieve schedule.
  • Remove rust, splatter & other loose materials. (Prepping surfaces for paint).
  • Apply masking tape & coverings over areas that do not require paint.
  • Select & mix required coatings per product instructions.
  • Select & use proper spray nozzle.
  • Clean spray equipment after each job.
  • Inspect sprayed surfaces after painting.
  • Wear proper PPE when painting.
  • Utilizing and maintaining spray booth.

Requirements:

  • Forklift driving skills.
  • Prior experience painting.
  • Understanding of airless paint sprayers.
  • Excellent eye & hand coordination.
  • Knowledge of paint products.
  • Knowledge of respirators & protective clothing.
  • Ability to work with paint, thinners & other paint products.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Walking, Standing, Sitting Kneeling, Stooping (Frequently)
  • Lifting, Carrying up to 50 pounds (Occasionally)
  • Temperatures (Occasionally)

ADDITIONAL NOTES

  • May require overtime before or after normal work hours or weekends.
