As a Paint Quality Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality and process efficiency. This hands-on position involves operating and maintaining advanced paint and robotic systems, monitoring production processes, and supporting a safe and collaborative work environment. Responsibilities- Perform paint color changes and clean paint gun caps and related equipment as scheduled.
- Monitor paint process parameters, including paint passes, atomizing air, fan air, and fluid rate settings.
- Measure and report Wet Film Thickness (WFT) and document process settings and deviations.
- Inspect painted products for defects such as runs, sags, orange peel, fisheyes, craters, dirt contamination, and light coverage.
- Verify paint colors using color charts, templates, Macbeth light booths, and X-Rite Spectrophotometer equipment.
- Stop production and notify supervision when quality issues or process deviations are identified.
- Assist in developing and maintaining work instructions and production documentation.
- Utilize MRP systems for labeling, shop orders, and production scheduling.
- Collect, enter, and analyze production data using Microsoft Office and other business software.
- Maintain effective communication with team members and supervisors.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE and handling of hazardous materials.
- Identify unsafe conditions and participate in corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support cross-functional teams and contribute to company quality and environmental objectives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support production and organizational goals.
- Ability to read and interpret graphs, charts, diagrams, and process documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

- Ability to accurately evaluate color, gloss, and paint finish quality.
