We are seeking a skilled Paint Engineer to oversee and optimize our painting, mixing, and curing processes. You will be responsible for ensuring product quality, managing complex process variables, maintaining compliance standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the plant.
Responsibilities
  • Process Optimization: Manage and adjust complex variables within the manual and automated paint processes; oversee machine setups and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor process efficiency, perform rigorous quality inspections, and lead continuous improvement problem-solving activities.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Maintain operational procedures to ensure strict compliance with quality standards; oversee material movement and team documentation.
  • Strategic Planning: Participate in the annual planning process to align engineering activities with overall plant objectives and performance goals.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in paint engineering or an equivalent manufacturing role.
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED required (Technical degree or certifications preferred).
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth understanding of application equipment in relation to solvent blends, paint mixing, temperature, humidity, and other critical environmental factors.
  • Equipment Mastery: Proficient with mixing and curing processes, spray guns, pumping systems, color measurement, and proportioning equipment.
  • Substrate Knowledge: Direct experience with two-component mixing, application, and curing processes on both plastic and metal substrates.
