Industrial Painter

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Location: Broken Arrow, OK
Pay: $17-$20/hour DOE
Shift: Day Shift: 6:00 AM-4:30 PM / Night Shift: 5:30 PM-3:30 AM (must be open to both shifts)

Position Summary

The Industrial Painter is responsible for sandblasting, cleaning, and painting compressors and other equipment with limited supervision. This role includes preparing surfaces, applying various paint systems, and adhering to customer and company specifications.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Operate cleaning equipment and prepare equipment for painting.
  • Mix and apply all types of paint systems to meet customer and company specifications.
  • Operate sandblasting equipment to required standards.
  • Mask and feather old paint in preparation for new paint.
  • Perform Dry Film Thickness (DFT) readings, Psychrometer readings, and Surface Temperature readings.
  • Follow all relevant Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) guidelines.
  • Frequently operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to assist in other departments as needed.

Required Experience & Skills
  • 2-5 years of related experience.
  • At least 1 year of forklift operation experience.
  • Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as scissor lifts, cranes, and forklifts.

Preferred Education
  • High school diploma.

Physical Demands
  • Regularly inspect and paint equipment, climb stairs or ladders, and maintain balance.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. as required.
  • Work in outdoor conditions and non-airconditioned facilities, including exposure to all weather conditions.
  • Perform tasks in tight and confined spaces, including stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including full-face masks.
