Job description

As a mix room operator you will support the paint shop. This includes, but not limited to running test on materials, collecting and recording material data, measuring and monitoring paint systems for inventory, functionality, and start up or shut down issues. The operator must frequently move hoses and drums, and lift and/or move up to 55 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. Must be able to operate a forklift.
What You Will Do:
Perform daily process application quality analysis
Execute required chemistry tests
Log and report data
Maintain product inventories
Troubleshoot and maintain systems as needed
Working with paint suppliers
Mixing paint and solvent chemicals
Physical Demands:
Must be able to physically perform the essential duties of the position which include lifting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, balancing, walking, standing, talking and hearing
Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam
The use of personal protection equipment is required including, safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection and gloves.
The use of respirators and splash protection may be required.
The employee may be required to work mandatory overtime.
Job requirements/Candidate profile
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic math skills.
Strong tow motor driving skills.
Ability to lift 55 pounds several times/daily.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Experience with Sap preferred.
