Job description

Production Operator - Assembly amp; Paint Line
PAY: $17.00 per hour
Benfits: Medical, Dental amp; Vision Insurance on your first day.
The Production Operator is responsible for assembling components and sub-assemblies and supporting paint line operations for Haulotte Aerial Work Platforms, including Telescopic Boom Lifts, Articulating Boom Lifts, Scissor Lifts, and Trailer-Mounted Booms. This role ensures products are built safely, accurately, and finished to high-quality standards for durability and appearance. The operator will primarily work in Assembly and rotate to the Paint Line as needed.
Assembly Functions
  • Handle, position, and place components or sub-assemblies using appropriate tools and equipment (cranes, slings, hand and power tools)
  • Assemble components according to established processes and work instructions
  • Perform visual inspections to ensure compliance with specifications (assemblies, labeling, and design requirements)
  • Verify proper assembly/disassembly (alignment, fit, operation, and retention) and correct minor deviations
  • Maintain production tools in good working condition (wrenches, torque tools, screwdrivers, etc.)
  • Read and follow blueprints, work orders, and production documentation
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, team leads, and coworkers
  • Assist in training new employees as needed
  • Proactively identify and help resolve production issues
Paint Line Functions
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking parts prior to painting
  • Operate automated and manual spray systems to apply primers, topcoats, and specialty finishes
  • Inspect painted components for coverage, finish quality, and color match; perform touch-ups as needed
  • Set up, operate, and maintain paint equipment, including spray guns and booths
  • Follow OSHA and company safety procedures regarding chemical handling, PPE, and ventilation
  • Maintain accurate records of paint usage, batch numbers, and production data
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or industrial painting preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions in English
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-based environment
  • Must be willing and able to learn multiple positions within the work cell, including paint line operations
  • Basic PC skills and ability to use handheld scanners
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attendance
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Must have reliable transportation
