A Pain Management Nurse is a registered nurse who specializes in caring for patients experiencing chronic or acute pain. They assess patients' pain levels, develop pain management plans, administer medications, and use various therapies to help alleviate discomfort. These nurses often work closely with doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to pain relief and patient education. Their goal is to improve the quality of life for patients dealing with pain from injuries, surgery, illnesses, or chronic conditions.

What does a pain management nurse do?

A pain management nurse specialized in treating patients to manage chronic and acute pain. In this job, you care for patients and provide them with the correct dosage of medication to address their individual needs and health.
