Job Title: Packer 8:00am to 4:30pm M-F
Job Description: Preparing finished products for packaging and shipment in the shipping and distribution department. Packer is provided list of products, retrieve the items needed from the inventory, visually ensure the produce meets quality standards, wrap, and pack in boxes for shipment.
Responsibilities:
  • Packages assembled the product with correct labels.
  • Packages material according to customer and Quick Cable requirements to prevent damage during shipment.
  • Provides complete documentation for each order including data entry of required order information.
  • Observes all safety rules and regulations.
  • Uses step ladders to retrieve inventory off racking.
  • Reports unsafe acts to the supervisor.
  • Cleans and maintains work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership team.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 to 3 months of distribution and/or order processing experience preferred.
  • Ability to add and subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Ability to perform operations using units of weight and length measurement.
  • Ability to accurately read and write in English and comprehend instructions, pick tickets and bills of material, and ability to complete written forms.
  • Proficient with basic computer data entry.
  • Requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented.
