Job Title: Warehouse Associate

Job Description

The Warehouse Associate (Distribution Associate) performs and coordinates a mix of manual and automated tasks required for the accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of products. This role supports key warehouse functions such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, and delivery while maintaining a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Pick and pack customer orders accurately using Radio Frequency (RF) handheld terminals.
  • Load and unload trucks and containers safely and efficiently.
  • Stock and replenish inventory locations using RF handheld terminals.
  • Process orders and inventory transactions in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Receive incoming orders and finished goods in the WMS using RF terminals, ensuring accurate counts and documentation.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area at all times.
  • Handle palletizing, material handling, and movement of products throughout the warehouse.
  • Use pallet jacks and other material handling equipment to move, stage, and store products.
  • Support shipping and receiving activities, including verifying, labeling, and preparing shipments.
  • Perform general labor, production, assembly, and packaging tasks as needed to support warehouse operations.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment while meeting productivity and quality standards.
  • Lift and move boxes and materials weighing up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.
  • Stand and walk for the duration of the shift to complete assigned tasks.
  • Participate in training to become certified on powered industrial equipment such as forklifts, walkies, order pickers, and turret trucks.
  • Collaborate with team members across different departments to ensure smooth workflow and on-time order fulfillment.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Good, stable job tenure demonstrating reliability and commitment.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
  • Experience using RF scanners for picking, packing, or inventory tasks.
  • Willingness to be trained and certified on warehouse equipment including order pickers, forklifts, walkies, and turret trucks.
  • Ability to safely load and unload trucks and containers.
  • Comfort working with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or similar inventory systems.
  • Strong attention to detail for accurate order picking, packing, and inventory control.
  • Positive, cooperative attitude and ability to work well with a team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse experience in distribution, shipping and receiving, or general warehousing.
  • Experience operating mobile equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turret trucks, walkies, or pallet jacks.
  • Experience in material handling, palletizing, and general labor or production work.
  • Experience in inventory control, including counting, tracking, and organizing stock.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and general production or assembly tasks.
  • Experience in packaging, construction, or other physically active roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain an organized work area in a busy environment.

Work Environment

You will work alongside approximately 25–30 team members across various departments, collaborating closely with different associates throughout the day. The environment is fast-paced yet supportive, with a strong focus on safety, organization, and teamwork. Typical warehouse technologies and equipment include RF handheld scanners, a Warehouse Management System (WMS), pallet jacks, and powered industrial equipment such as forklifts, order pickers, walkies, and turret trucks (with training and certification provided as needed). The dress code consists of practical work attire such as work pants or shorts and shirts without holes, along with closed-toe shoes suitable for a warehouse setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lebanon, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
