Pay: $18.50/hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (These areas of responsibility will include but not be limited to):
- Working safely, following all plant rules, reporting all near misses and unsafe conditions to supervisor.
- Keeping work areas clean and organized.
- Monitoring equipment condition and communicating any deficiencies to supervisor.
- Packing 25 kg (55 lbs.) bags (up to 600 in a 12-hourperiod)
- Assisting with ancillary processes (such as presses, bag filters, refeed, etc.)
- Cleaning out equipment during process changes and between batches as needed.
- Assisting Production Supervisor and Dry and Wet End Operators as needed.
- Taking samples of product throughout the whole process, and maintaining sample identification.
- Proper labeling of product bags to ensure product traceability throughout the process.
- Accurately filling out necessary paperwork to record process information.
- Completes any and all other duties, as required or assigned.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Frequent lifting (34 - 66% of the day). Must be able to lift up to 55lbs. repeatedly.
- Constant standing (66 – 100% of the day).
- Frequent overhead reaching (34 - 66% of the day).
- Constant use of upper extremities, i.e. hands and arms (66 – 100% of the day).
- Ability to negotiate on grated floors up to three stories high.
REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or GED
- Prefer the temps to have 8” steel toed boots but will accept 6” steel toed boots.
Drug screen, background check, Education and Employment verification are mandatory if you are offered this position.
