A day in the life:   

As a Packaging Quality Specialist Temp to Hire at Monster Energy, you'll be at the heart of our thrilling journey, ensuring every can of our invigorating beverages reaches our fans in top condition. You'll lead the charge in testing and validating both new and existing packaging, guaranteeing that our products not only run smoothly on the production line but also perform exceptionally in the market. You'll be the detective, diving into supplier claims, and solving packaging mysteries with root cause analyses to maintain the highest standards. The impact you'll make:    
  • Investigation, sampling, root cause analysis, reporting, conclusion for Claims Support.
  • Support new package design and implementation through dieline development and approval. Attend trial runs to validate equipment runnability. Design process may include new packaging, product spec development, and new pallet configuration.
  • Work with primary and secondary suppliers on issues, defects, claims, olds, returns, plant audits, new qualifications
  • Test packaging as need for validation, evaluation, or qualification. Testing also a critical function for finished goods that may be defective to identify root cause of defect.
  • Attend new line startups and evaluation to expand both network and line capabilities through commissioning procedures with new Copackers
  • Work with warehouse on root cause analysis of leaking or defective product. Issue direction and disposition on blocked product. Will support development of rework protocol as needed.
  • Support various stakeholders to ensure product specs are correct, updated, and revised as needed.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Copacker, Warehousing, and Bottlers to follow for best practices and meeting Packaging Expectations.      
  • This position requires 50% travel, including out of state travel
Who you are:   
  • Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering or related field of study
  • Additional Experience Desired: Between 1-3 years of experience in food and beverage packaging
  • Additional Experience Desired: Between 1-3 years of experience in beverage industry production, transportation, warehousing
  • Computer Skills Desired: AutoCAD, SAP, Microsoft Office Suite, SolidWorks, 3D Printing, TOPs, Smartsheet, SharePoint
  • Preferred Certifications: Six Sigma Certification or Packaging Professional Preferred
